Day 9 of 365 days of CyborgsMotoko Kusanagi comes from one of the most revered manga/anime series "Ghost in the Shell" I remember when this manga was one of maybe 10 available at Barnes & Noble. Although Masamune Shirow created the universe I think it was Mamoru Oshii who really took it to greatness.
Also finding female cyborgs who are not already well know is proving to be a pain. So if you know any weird obscure female cyborgs let me know.

it wasn't based off of anything. I drew it in pencil then inked it with a pen. Then added tones and textures in Photoshop.

All I can think of is Seven of Nine. There was also a girl in an episode of Fullmetal Alchemist that had a mechanical arm but I have no idea who she is. Actually a lot of those characters have robot parts, that may be a good place to go.
