"The Butterfly" - featuring Sutra ^_^

I worked my butt off on this pic, as well as sister image Kanashimi. @_@ taking a break off big pics for a while.

I had to jpeg it, because it initially was huge and if I shrunk it you couldn't see anything <.< some details are lost, like the kimono embrodery, charm bracelet on ankle, flowers in hair, etc...but overall I am very pleased with it ^_^

-PURPLEHAIRLOVE- 8D somehow it is neater than it ought to be...must've found some good hairspray

As I stated on the other, these as a pair are extremely strong.. I talked to Jenna and both of us would LOVE to purchase a print-set from you. These are both so utterly amazing. I shocked myself further looking at your ID n' remembering you're young enough to be one of my students (14/15) ... That blows my mind further!

You really are an amazing artist. Hope when I get out into the teaching world I'm lucky enough to have students as gifted as you. This image is just.. awesome.. I LOVE the effect of the clustering butterflies. The composition of -both- pieces (as I stated on Kana's) are remarkable .. They show a sense of balance and play off one another. I love how the weight from the top is balanced by the light/dark halo effect around the figure...

Totally dig how a winged Sutra reminds me -almost- as a Firefly... The clusting butterflies at the top remind me -very- strongly of a cherry tree shedding its petals.. REALLY and absolutely ADORE the outfit. The pose is very dynamic.. I'm truly impressed by every piece as your anatomy continues to get better!

As Jenna said, and I have to agree, we cannot wait to see how you'll change and evolve in a year's time



BTW: Both these images n' the inked sutra image ARE going into the contest listing. Period.
So nyah.

You have no idea how good it makes me feel to hear you say such things I was all nervous and nitpicking and going "Oh shoot that one butterfly wing is tilted 1.3549 millimeters higher than the other" and whatnot - but I'm glad you like it, and looking at it I find I rather like it too XD even if one wing is tilted 1.3549 millimeters higher than the other XD

BTW: There is also a png zoom of the faces in my scraps, so you won't be stuck with the blurry mud-ness of jpeg :3

Gal. Listen to me very carefully. You are your own worse enemy when it comes to art. Trust me. I know. EVERY artist knows

You stare at a piece of work and -you- can see all the flaws because you know what you had difficulities in, where you rushed, what you think worked well..etc.

Let me tell you that you are amazing -- hear me? I'm floored. If I had an -ounce- of talent as you have when I was your age, I'd be a happy person. Dude. I'd show you my old work I did back when I was your age n' you'd roll laughing. Still adore this image. Beautiful work hon. Thank you. I don't think I can say thank you enough.

BTW: To make CHEAPER better prints that'll cost you less and give you more profit in the end...
Take the high res versions to Office Depot, Office Max or Kinkos.. Have them print'em out on photo-paper

Voila. It'll cost you about 60 cents to a dollar per print. ... Better than using DA

spend it making prints on a -good- print shop
DA = suckage. You'd get VERY little profit from the prints you sell

If you make your own prints n 'spend like.. $1 .. you sell the prints for $5-$10 .. .you see? Profit.
Money DA doesn't take from you
