Personality:
She grew up to be patient due to her mother neglecting her and focusing more on her jutsus and fighting styles than to her daughter. So Mariko is good in waiting for things and people. She's good at evaluate bad situations or moods of others. She studied human emotions a lot in her childhood. Smoking gives her a relief and relaxes her from all the stress she got burdened up in all the years. Mariko likes to tease her close friends/bf from time to time. It's very important for her to say her opinion if she feels like it's needed. IF she gets asked for help she let's everything stay where it is and goes for help. Only close friends and family member get the extra care where they don't need to ask for help, she just helps out.

Childhood:
She was raised by the clan members of the Higure clan, her mother had barely time to look for her and wasn't even there most of the time straying around.
Marikos childhood wasn't that easy since she didn't get much love or affection from the members.
Genin days:
As she met her teammate Chizu she felt her first strong bound with someone outside from her clan. She enjoyed the time with Chizu and opened up a little more to others. She had to learn that she can't say everything out loud the hard way but still she wouldn't let people suppress her opinion.
Chuunin days:
The time got harder since Chizu made some mean remarks about her mother, tho one day they cleared it out with a fight. The relationship wasn't close anymore but they where able to get along again a little better and where able again to work in a team again. Mariko could support Chizu while she used her jutsus.
Epilogue/Cheapter 700+:
As a young woman she started smoking cigarettes since the pressure got way to hard for her. Helping her mother, handling her live and going on missions filled all her time. Also she met a guy she eventually felt something for what made her unsure, she never felt something like that and had to figure out what this was.

- She likes to tie up her hair in a ponytail. She really hates to have her hair down it feels to hot in her neck but still she doesn't want to cut her hair short.
- She got a little key-chain grasshopper from her mother when she was little, she still always keeps it with her on missions and such, its her lucky-charm.

- She doesn't see good on her right eye, that's why it's almost covered. The sigh got bad due to a infection in her childhood.
