FLOPPY EARS! Is that a product of their being captive, like whales...? Or does it just happen sometimes?

I think it is from birth on. Two had flopped, one had one flopped and one straight and 2 had both straight ears. Since they were born in a zoo and never knew the wild, they would also not feel sad about it. Whales also do not ahve flopped dorsals cause they feel sad, but because the gravity on the surface is not so big as in depth, so when being in a pool and often being on the surface to play with the trainers, the dorsal tilts slowly over time due to the gravity. (wild ones have it too sometimes). You cannot judge the emotions of an animal by the state of the dorsal.

Thank you. I agree. I found it funny, that everyone had other ear positions. It is how I could tell them apart.
