Today I found out that Ulla, a female rothschild giraffe born at Animalpark in Berlin, Germany, was put to rest somewhere this autumn.
She was born in June 2008 and about 2 months old when I visited Berlin in August 2008.
I chose this photo of her because it is the best I have from her and she looks so proud here.
She was a beautiful calf with the long black stripes on her front legs.
Rest in peace Ulla! It is so sad you died at such a young age

Apropos ich bin letztes Jahr komplett von Grippen verschont geblieben zumindest im Winter und dieses Jahr - toi toi toi bis jetzt auch!
