Description This is the male spider having a go at the young ones which "his wife" deposited just outside my kitchen door moments ago.

I think these are 2 different spiders and the top one is likely killing the other one or it may be cannibalize

No, no, the white substance is a cocoon containing tiny spiders which normally come out in spring. Here you will find a similar picture [link]

I didn't see them this time, because the "father" opened the cocoon and killed and ate them. This happens sometimes. They were supposed to remain in this cocoon until Spring. However, I've seen tiny spiders before and they looked similar to those in your link
