Well here it is.

This is my picture to celebrate One year of The Fallen Star though it is a bit late, since I started the project in Decemeber 2009 actually, but ehh it's alright I guess.
I suppose it's also a tribute to Ace too, since well.. he's awesome and is the reason for my madness over the past year and few months XD

This picture has a lot of thought and effort put into it. The 'sad' youth Ace down bellow is meant to show the start of his downfall after Bolden 3 (his home planet) was destroyed in an accident, that he and his team were blamed for (that's canon too, btw). And that is Bolden 3 getting blown up next to him, by that beam.
And the DreadZone Ace is to symbolize when he turned into a villain after being at DreadZone for a long time. Hateful and merciless there, until Ratchet comes to stop his ways and make him change his ways.
And then of course, his 'good' self up the top. Looking calm and content, unsure of what kind of future awaits him. That planet on the side up there is meant to be Vaelidius (non-canon planet I made for his race, a bit like Fastoon is to Ratchet)

This is probably my best traditional work I've ever done. I can notice some errors though, I think I may have done Ace's neck too long in the upper pic BUT in some renders/pics of him it's quite like that anyway... but ehh, too late to shit-pick now XD traditional art is far more tricky and unpredictable to work with than digital. Cant fix mistakes very easily! I was very VERY close to making this digital too, but for some reason I was inspired to make this traditional, had this idea on mind for weeks and desperately wanted it to get out of my head.
I also drew this on A3 paper, as opposed to the usual A4 paper I use.

A3 paper = (11.69 x 16.54 inches)
A4 paper = (8.27 x 11.69 inches)

So yeah, pretty big! The paper quality is shit though and I couldn't erase the pencil lines properly! But thankfully the prismacolor pencils covered most of it anyway.
