Description
My versions of Rhys and Merry from Laurell K. Hamilton's Meredith Gentry series. As you can see, no sithen, no dark overbearing thrones... That's just not me.Rhys is one of my favorites, but after a lot of trial and error I found him easier to draw than Frost or Doyle. Also, this allowed me to play with a little bit of Rhys's playful personality. He and Merry are playing a little game of Bogart and McCall.

Wow I love it! I can totally see Rhys character in this. I have such a hard time figuring out which male is my favorite...they all are so delicious.

My absolute favorite is Doyle. He's a consummate outsider who makes good, sort of. Rhys is also a favorite though, because he's so fun loving... and he's a death god.

Ohh very cool! Rhys is one of my favs. I was just thinking about him the other day actually and he always makes me smile. The way you drew him is very close to the way I picture him too...except with longer hair.

Thanks. I made the hair a little shorter because I'm reading Divine Misdemeanors at the moment and it sounded like his hair is a little shorter since he's working for the detective agency more now.

Yep, Sholto is in it. Merry is increasingly strapped for time with her men, but she finds time for Sholto when he comes to visit.

I'm commenting on my own work.
I find it interesting to see my work on other computer screens. Everyone I know uses different color settings, and when you see your work with too much contrast or saturation, you start to realize that what you've accomplished isn't being appreciated by people.
The computer I'm on now makes this look very white washed, and I hope that isn't what everyone is seeing.
I hope that you are seeing the richness of the two-toned background. Seeing that Rhys' shirt is a light shade of blue, not gray. That his hair is white, and his skin is gray-ish.
I always wonder what everyone sees on their screens.
