Lovely Monarch butterfly! Wonderful use of colors on this, and the care you used in trying to keep the look of the wings the same on two very different surfaces is also excellent!

It's only a painting, is't it? I suppose you wouldn't kill a butterfly

from the title i was expecting one of those paintings you make when you're a kid.. you draw one half and then fold the paper over to make the other half lol. but in all seriousness this is lovely...

I thought it was a pressed butterfly on the thumbnail for a second, and thought "Louve's gone MAD with pressing power!"
I like so much how you show the colour on two different textures, to see how the picture differs. The light shadow underneath is so real it honestly looks like it's hovering just a little bit above the page. Gorgeous :3

Awww gorgeous rendition of a butterfly. I especially love the interesting texture of the paper on the left. When I first saw it I thought it was a real butterfly pressed onto the pages like a flower.
Amazing work!

@ @ loving the different textured paper surfaces, seriously. Left side with the very textured surface makes the wings look... Real? Not sure how to describe it, but it looks true to nature. And the right side gives it this smooth, perfected feel. T ^T All of these pages were quite lovely, a wonderful design with wonderful presentation. * 3* *babbles forever*
