he's been floating up there as my icon for months, but i only just now got him finished!!! until this evening, the tree in the middle and everything to the right of it was blank. i think i did a good nights work, yes? for the record, my aunt asked me to draw this. if anyone so desires one themselves, feel free to ask.i gotta say, i love how that little fox came out. LOOK HOW HAPPY HE IS TO BE IN THAT TREE!!! *squeeeee* by the way, did i ever mention i love fluffy tails? cuz i do, and i was in fluffy tail HEAVEN with this guy! so kawaii! so yes, i love the little fox. and i really hated doing the tree in the middle, but i think it was super beneficial to me. i figured out a good technique to drawing it since there was no way i could draw it just like the picture. so, now i should be able to draw up a tree trunk any time i feel like it! i think this is my favorite of the three gray paper studies i did so far. im still not sure if i am right in calling them studies... if i am not, tell me.
there is one thing i absolutly hate about it. i wish OH HOW I WISH I HAD LEFT OUT THAT SHADOW CUTTING RIGHT ACROSS HIM!!! it doesnt quite ruin the picture, but damn, IT BUGS THE HELL OUT OF ME!!!

the only thing you might want to look at is the forepaw...it's still really good (better than I could ever do) bit it's a little scrawny. or is that normal for foxies?

eh, not too bad. actually, it's kinda cute. creates a tenuous feel about his hold on the tree yet he looks completely happy and safe. I know some humans who are super-muscular and bulked up on their arms but wouldn't be caught near a tree. ^^ silly humans.
