As you could guess, a lover was involved when the Wild Turkey episode reached its finale. But the story really begins many years earlier.

I moved out on my own when I was 15 and bought my first house This made me the only kid in school that owned his own house. At that time I skipped my teenage years and rocketed into adulthood which alienated me from the kids my age. I was very successful, got married, and followed a happy civilized path. Then, the divorce came and I lost everything. But soon found happiness in another woman who for 5 years tried to get me to marry her. After a while I finally said yes and it was at this time she left me. I was confused and dazed at this and lost myself into countless bottles of Wild Turkey. I could not understand why she waited for me to agree to marry her just so she could rip my heart out.

I am from Alaska, so you will need to imagine a cabin two miles from a bar. One winter night I left the bar and all I remember is waking up the next morning in the snow looking up at a clear blue sky. Next to me was an empty bottle of Turkey. The very first thing that came to my mind was, "Something has to change." Two week later I left Alaska and traveled the entire USA. I spent the entire time figuring out how I had lost my way and discovering what it would take for me to not ever take that path again.

To this day, I do not smoke, take drugs, or get drunk. I have learned to be non-judgmental towards those around me and to accept people with compassion. I have become spiritual but not religious.

So, there it is. The short version of my entire life.

I'm sorry to hear about your divorce and the second woman, and the whole situation afterward.

Thank you. I am long over that and in fact glad all of it happened. I think it has made me a better person and a much better friend to people.

No, and I don't see marriage in my future. But, who knows.

Well, as long as you're happy now, and as long as you take it in the way that it made your life better, made you a better person, then it's a good thing

You can call me tim if you like. Nivaun was a character in a children's book I was writing with my sister. You can call me nivaun too, I like that name. I made it up.
