Man, I am just a total sucker for "heading into the sunset" works of art, and this is no exception.
First off, the character is done very well, the watercolours are perfect for him, the look and pose truly has that " are you coming along?" look towards a new adventure or life, it makes the viewer just wants to reach out and see where it will he take them.
the sky looks good, you've got that sunset feel nailed, some people might question the huge white area, but I think it suits it just fine.
ok, I think the water could have used less white in it, the parts that are coloured are done exceptionally well, but I think you could have toned down the white a little.

this is advance...however no i think your critiqueing your self alittle much...its such a beautiful drawing...we can see u put quite alot of effort in it, the effect given in total has given a very very aged effect like a old wet photograph...its truely contrasts your childhood theme.
