Description
This is a pastel drawing - chalks on blue paper A4 size - a lovely old dog - sadly gone from us now and running free over the rainbow bridge - Sarahs lovely boy..... (A limited number of photo's of this old boy so the side view was the only suitable one for me to use)My work may not be reproduced, copied, edited, published, transmitted or uploaded in any way.

I'm curious to what type of dog it was as the image really,really reminds me of a long-haired Dachshund, which of course we have ruling our home at present. Do you do commissions. My hubby is besotted with our red boy and it would be nice to get an original done of Ruben for him as a gift.

I think the dog was a mixture of all sorts cos I never actually met her - but the face from the photo did have a dachshund look to it - she was sweet looking too.
I do commissions - my main work right now is with acrylic paints - they work out at £130.00 for a 16x12" canvas - we could always post if you were interested.
We have a little dog my husband is besotted with too - he kisses him more than he kisses me! LOL

Thank you for getting back to me so quickly! How long does it take you approximately to do. I'm not in any hurry for several reasons, firstly Christmas is a long way off yet (I keep telling myself that) and the second reason is the main one.
We are moving from Australia to Malaysia for a few years and are in the middle of packing up the house. Ideally, you would probably need several digital images to work from but I also have some good printed images that I still need to digitise but my scanner is playing up. I don't intend to buy a new one until we get to Malaysia but I shall sort the photos to take with me for scanning in. This puts the time frame at around July/August 2010. If you don't hear from me by August, please send me a reminder.
I really would like to do this but I have sooo many things happening with the move including renovating the house to sell, that I'm bound to forget until too late in the year. My email addy is goentropo@gmail.com

Thank you - yes I have three dogs now - 2 poodles and a yorkie - they are my heart - I have had a love afair with dogs since I was a young child - I am always surrounded by them and love them to distraction - there is nothing like it is there x

Sorry about the loss of your dog, it's always sad when it happens. I lost my little dog of 18 years last month (we still haven't found out where he went

Oh it is sad isnt it - I have always been a dog lover and have had many of them over the years - we get used to them not being there but dont think I have ever really got over losing htem x

I just lost my best friend recently, and I thought of this picture. It's very beautiful and exteremly well done.
I believe in Rainbow Bridge too. And I'm sure my little companion will be waiting for me there. I hope that both our dogs can play together happily until we can find them again.

I am sure they will be there waiting for us - it is terrible when they go and my heart goes out to you - they bring us so much joy over the years and then the pain comes in one big lump, doesnt it

Thank you - this one took me about 5 hours I think - pastel takes me less time than with oils - with oils I am very slow and it takes me months to complete one x
