This one was really fun. I feel like I'm getting better with my backgrounds and getting into the groove of my color technique. Obelisks are fun to draw. I keep forgetting how big they are. Because they are like a lion, you would think they are that big but Thalia is 12 ft tall :>

One of my all-time favorite artists is Albert Bierstadt. I love his environmental art. One of Bierstadt's paintings is at the museum closest to me and I remember seeing it when I was really really little. It is one of those paintings that I feel has left a mark on my soul. To me, the sky is a cathedral; it is overwhelming and beautiful at the same time. One of my next painting series will be on all the sky and cloud pictures I've taken over the years, and Bierstadt will be my main influence.
