Description A bit of scifi for a change. Aliens and a Predator ... read some sci-fi books by Neal Asher maybe two years back or so ... they make the monsters in this image seem cute and mostly harmless ... not that they are but everything is relative

Took a peek at your gallery. A lot of people here on DA seem to enjoy cosplay and make a lot of effort to make great costumes

Very cool! The only things this scene is missing is Batman and a plate of bacon, which are both necessary for any scene to be perfect!

LMFAO that was the greatest load of crap ever, when the predator saved batmans ass with the shot, where was the acid splash back onto batman? onto his armor, ignore that, he was in the 1960s version of himself, with no armor lol.

Then the predator who is usually a min 7 foot plus tall was like 5 foot 9 lol and lost against 1960s batman pmsl as if, as always if you want crap see youtube lol

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ThePanthersPaw In reply to PinkVendetta [2015-01-24 17:50:17 +0000 UTC]

Maybe it was a genetically modified acid-free alien with maple syrup for blood.
....And maybe 1960s Batman was actually 7 feet tall, which made the predator look smaller.

After all, you can't post it on the internet if it isn't true!

Yup, he should borrow a belt buckle from Seeley Booth
Dunno, much about the Aliens is still unknown ... but it's kind of the same colour as that acid blood of theirs. YIKES! Maybe it can spray acid through its mouth

i was thinking they had acid in them, maybe it could force acid to come out of the spots when it feels really threatenΒ

Lynxander In reply to Kittyillustrations [2015-01-26 12:25:21 +0000 UTC]

Could be that too I was thinking they are like storage tanks for acid and that they can spray acid through that "tongue" the others use to smash in heads with

I'm sure he's got a LOT up his sleeves
(I just saw "Prometeus" (by Ridley Scott) and the end of that movie told me we'd need a lot of Mr Predators with well filled sleeves! )

Lynxander In reply to LmAnt [2015-01-26 14:15:31 +0000 UTC]

Prometheus was interesting in many ways. The Engineers had a DNA matching humans and their mission seems to have been to punish humans for events 2000 years before the events in the film. (Scott suggested an Engineer was crucified -> Jesus? -> Engineer?) The Engineer they awoke tried to continue the 2000 year old mission and was going to seed the dark liquid on Earth. (The DNA suggests we are descended from/designed by/related to the Engineers? They want to wipe us out for some reason? Are we a threat or an experiment gone wrong in their opinion? Where are they? Are they extinct themselves? They have an "evil vibe", but are they?)
Shaw's "offspring", the squid-like alien "impregnated" the Engineer resulting in a primitive looking Alien. The mix of the 3 different races resulting in the first Alien?
Many unanswered questions, maybe there will be another movie

Yup, Predators are nicer. They aren't interested in wiping things out. They want to have hunting grounds where they can hunt challenging individuals

LmAnt In reply to Lynxander [2015-01-27 08:31:06 +0000 UTC]

I have to admit that "Prometheus" didn't impress me the way I expected it from a Ridley Scott movie.
It was visually great and some of the actors where great and some parts of the plot too, but it didn't feel like a unit, somehow. And it didn't drag me into it, like the Alien-series did, for instance.
However, like you say it rose some interesting questions and the open end is yelling for a sequel.
But as the movie hasn't been very successful I fear we wont see that any time soon

Lynxander In reply to LmAnt [2015-01-27 12:35:48 +0000 UTC]

I agree with you. It is visually spectacular and has good actors. The plot and dialogue is too vague and the viewer is left to "connect dots and hints" … not enough meat on the bones, it just doesn't come together well enough to be truly engaging.
Then the basis of the human mission being an old dying billionaire wanting to go into space and meet an advanced alien (God?) and ask for immortality … oh, pleeeease, that is so old, pathetic and boring … but it did make the response of "God" (the Engineer) a hoot The request almost resulted in humanity getting wiped out.
Remains to be seen what we end up doing when we start tampering with longevity. Not that my generation will be around to see it, but in the future... Β

I expected more too from a Ridley Scott film. This is far from Alien or Bladerunner. Those are 5 stars in my book. Prometheus is a strong 3 or a weak 4 on a generous day as an Alien fan. Maybe it's also partly because when I watch a sci-fi movie I want to be entertained, explore, be awed and look to the future … not engage in a bunch of archaic mythological and religious themes

Prometheus 2 is listed as being in script stage. I guess that means there may, or may not, be a sequel coming some day...

LmAnt In reply to Lynxander [2015-01-30 04:52:30 +0000 UTC]

well...it wasn't that much the themes that made it less enjoyable for me than other Ridley Scott work.
It was far more the feeling that the whole thing wasn't a unit but much rather the collection of individual parts.
However, Mr Scott already gave us two milestones in the genre, for which I'm grateful, ...
and patient.
So if they produce Prometheus 2, I am going to watch it for sure!

Me too, I'm curious to know more about the Engineers The movies have given little information about the bigger picture of the "Alien and Predator universe".

yeah... The Engineers.... I want to know more about them too.
I actually didn't like how rather dumb they've been shown in this part. They appeared a lot more like helpers than anything else to me.
We'll see Β
