Description They may be obsolete but they are fun
Errr... on second thought the other one would be terrifying, but it would be so fun to see a live one... at a safe distance

Well you know depending on the time of day when I view your picture I don't see the same thing.
Show it to me in the morning when I've just done my hair and applied some make-up and I'm ready to face the world (and hoping to attract some attention ) , and I'll see the car only, and even hear its engine.
Show it to me before bedtime when I need something big and furry to cuddle in my bed and I'll (surprisingly!!) see the dinosaur. God I need to reconsider my vision of teddy bears!!

I love love LOVE the car and the reflections on it, it looks really realistic.
I like the dino too, even if its arms always make me think of a drawing by Gary Larson where one of them tells another "I'm trying to pass the potatoes! Remember, my forearms are as useless as yours!"
Jesus I just made me laugh so hard I could have made a Coca-Cola disaster on my G15 keyboard

Nice picture, by the way. I love the association of two completely different genres!

Lynxander In reply to Lolaa-S [2010-09-15 21:12:10 +0000 UTC]

Oh, now I'm really flattered. You look at my images in the morning and the evening
Oh dear, a T-Rex does not make for nice dreams or a cute teddy You need something warmer to cuddle

If it was real enough I'd let you drive it
Should've tried twisting them arms a bit By now evolution would've probably removed those useless arms altogether
I loved that "Walking with Dinosaurs" series they did.

I haven't seen all that many of his, but it sounds funny Tried to google it, but I didn't find it.

That would've been a shame. Messing up a deluxe keyboard like that! Is it as good as it looks?

Thanks, I like mixing things

I receive quite a number of pictures in my message board, from people (or groups, damn it, they can have so many pictures posted a day! ) I watch, and I eliminate a lot of them if the thumbnail doesn't attract me.
Then I have a closer look and eliminate the ones I don't like, and comment on some others if I like them enough... and there is another category of artworks, which would be the ones I really like, most of the time because they're just great, or because they come from dear friends of mine. These ones I keep in my message box and watch from time to time (in the morning and in the evening!! ), taking the time to enjoy them before commenting on them later. You'll end up knowing all my little dA secrets

Yes my keyboard kicks ass , what I really like in it are the macro keys, they're just priceless to replace painful things like Ctrl+C by a single key, or other combinations (Ctrl + Alt + Z, etc). I have the original keyboard, so a total of 18 macro keys, with 3 different states, hence a total of 54. That sounds great, but I don't need more than 12, I'd say
My husband now has the G19 keyboard, he always seems to have this need to have better toys than mine.
Want to hear about his latest present? A 23" touch screen... ah, really, it's not always easy to be married to a geek!

Me too, I drown in them, let's see... over 12 000 now
167 activity stacks
I need to do some CLEANING!
I love your little secrets

Macro keys sounds useful. Maybe I should look a bit closer at those keyboards.
Most boys are the same, we like gizmos and tech stuff
Let's hope he remembers to touch you too!

Lolaa-S In reply to Lynxander [2010-09-24 09:45:52 +0000 UTC]

... Well the thing may be that he does it too much, why do you think I offered him a touch screen after all? So that he finds something else to play with, and lets me post comments and answers in dA!

I'd say you need some autumnal cleaning indeed. My usual way to sort this kind of problem is clicking on those little crosses above the stacks, and erasing them all. If an artwork is really worth it, I'll find it back... or it will find me
Hmmm no no, don't even think of hiring me as a dA maid

Haaa... I can understand him perfectly! It is your own fault you know, for being so irresistible

X marks the spot, eh? I think I will have to give that a try and see how it feels

You in a french maid outfit, ohlala... what a dream

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Lolaa-S In reply to Lynxander [2010-09-24 22:32:04 +0000 UTC]

Don't you think it's funny that we end up talking about touching someone when short arms were our first subject? (it's a little over midnight here, that would explain that I am laughing alone in front of my screen )

Click on X's, you'll feel better after, and you'll tell me if that works

I haven't got any maid outfit, so you can forget about it... although when I think about it I have ostrich feather dusters, this is a nice beginning

Lynxander In reply to Lolaa-S [2010-09-25 22:13:11 +0000 UTC]

Sure is, but it's fun to hear that you are laughing my dear

I clicked and clicked and clicked on x's and now they are all gone! Aaaah, feels very refreshing and relaxing!

Oh dear, no outfit, then I will have to make do with a dream with only a feather duster and a pair of heels...

Dammit! I just took a sip of coffee when I clicked on the thumbnail! Almost shorted out my computer! Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant! Your work with cars is stunning enough, but that tyrannosaurus is perhaps the best 3D dinosaur I've ever seen. It looks like he's thinking "I wonder if the keys are in it?"

Lynxander In reply to peacefulraven [2010-09-12 14:17:02 +0000 UTC]

Thanks for the compliments He could be checking if there is a "snack" inside the car too
Btw, the car is a freebie by Anders Lejczak. Looks great and it has enough material zones to make it easy to change the materials on it

jamminwolfie In reply to Lynxander [2010-09-13 02:00:31 +0000 UTC]

I got the car

Gah, if I get my mind off my "current" mood, and get some time, I need to start rendering these vehicles. But thinking about having to change all the mat zones... **sighs** talk about discouraging! lol. I should just set aside a couple days and make DS mats for the cars I have :/

My last car (forever) was a 72 Oldsmobile Cutlass.

The thing was an f'ing monster.
The fastest that I took it was up to 120 MPH and the peddle was only 3/4 of the way to the floor.
I was on a highway with a maximum speed limit of 60, so I figured that I should slow down while I was still alive.

No mods to the car at all. It was all stock the way that it was built. That's when American's actually made American automobiles.

You're welcome for that unsolicited rambling.

Awesome render.

Lynxander In reply to KenSaunders [2010-09-12 14:06:09 +0000 UTC]

Had to google it and have a look Not many of those around here.

My current car is the first one I've had that could do 120 mph, but I haven't tried it.
On a bike I've had about 140 mph in the speedometer, but that's about 20 years ago. The road starts to feel narrow

Ah, yes... that gorgeous sound of an V8. Mostly 4 cylinder cars here. Gas costs €1.45/liter here, that's 7 dollars a gallon

I've been known to ramble too

**sighs** sure miss the American way, and I live in America...

One of my brothers had a Olds Cutless as well (probably same year but can't remember). Talk about a powerful and fun car to drive!!
