Male lions don't hunt unless they are in a bachelor pride. But it's a nice render, the lighting is spot on.

The lionesses do most of the hunting, because most hunting requires camouflage and stealth in the initial stage. The big mane of the males don't allow for that and they would lessen the chance of a successful surprise attack.
Males do participate in taking down large prey such as buffaloes, giraffes and elephants, where strength and size is more important than staying concealed.

I was listening to Rammstein when rendering and I remembered the hunting tune
I have always found the gaze of a lion to be the deadliest looking one. There's a chilling sense of death in it
