Description
This is Virginia Shreves from the book "The Earth, My Butt and Other Big Round Things" by Carolyn Mackler. I really enjoyed the book and felt like drawing its heroine. The story basically follows Virginia's issues with teenage experiences, family and her weight. She's supposed to be overweight but I don't think I really achieved that too well .__. Anime is sadly an art form in which overweight main characters or just overweight people in general are virtually unheard of. But I suppose if you look at those toothpick women I normally draw, you can see the difference here.But despite all that, I was proud of this. I have a alot of respect for Virginia ^__^. I might send this in to the author or something too. And a side note, that L hand is probably the best hand I've ever drawn on my own (yay!). Keep it real!
