Sam is feeling down - probably because something Ronon said - so Neil tries to cheer him up. The next step would be giving him a hug, but Sam will probably (definitely) freak out at that. Different clans, different concept of personal space.I think I will never get over drawing wraith cartoonishly green., but at least they are easily distinguishable. Haven't drawn these two in a while, it's odd to see how my style changed since the first drawings.

Yes indeed, he got injured in their last mission; he fell behind and got caught by a group of genii soldiers who didn't know he was with the Atlantis group. Because of this (and because he really doesn't like wraith hanging around) Ronon tried to get them kicked out of Atlantis, reasoning that "they don't need more dead weight in the missions". Poor Sam took it hard, but he'll be all right. Neil doesn't let his commander stay sad for long.
