Why do I picture Inuyasha concerned mostly about the birthday cake and his presents?

Yup! He would murder the cake in short order. I've wanted to do a picture of him kind of like Stitch when he ate both desserts with Lilo (from Lilo and Stitch). I used to have a dog that I could feed without ever using a dish. I'd open the can of food and then turn it over and put a small hole in the other end of the can so that air could get it. Then hold the can up open end down and shake out the big meaty loaf of dog food over the dog's head. Once the loaf gets free, it falls but is intercepted by the dog who gobbles the whole thing in just a few gulps.

Dogs are bottomless pits. They will eat and eat and eat and they LOVE food. The animators picked up on this too since they liked to show InuYasha chowing food as if he was starving and stealing food from Shippo. And that scene of him with the steak!! Narf!

As for the presents, he'd be the same way. "What'd you get me? Is that for me? Gimme it!" (Rip, rip, rip.) "Okay. Is that all?"

I can visualize that perfectly! It just makes him that much more lovable! I really like the picture concept you mentioned. It would such a cute, silly Inuyasha moment

I agree with you that they did a good job with the correlation between puppy appetites and Inuyasha's, um, fervent appreciation of food Wow, your doggie had skillz!

This leaves us with the question: So what kind of gift to you get for today's demon-dog on the go?

He strikes me as one dude who would benefit from some new underwear....

His outfit can heal itself due to its firerat properties. But who knows about his underclothes. Whether it's a loincloth or a fundoshi, a few extra just couldn't hurt!

Yeah! The drawing came out great didn't it? I like it! The artist is in South America and extremely talented for his age. I expect Great Things from him! This was a challenge for him since he'd never done InuYasha before.

That really is awesome!
I've tried drawing InuYasha a few times and I could never even get close to this in my wildest dreams! Well... maybe in my dreams, but certainly not with my hands. I may try to force them, but they seem to be better at typing code.
