Greetings from the 13th dimension!A little birthday present to myself that I thought I would share.....

Made using Ultrafractal without manipulation other than a copy, flip and paste.....

on my front page there is a link to the site and i think i get something if you get there by clicking it...but i don't know what? lol I used it m ainly so i could get my own stuff...calendars mainly..wait for a 40% off and then make about 5 or 6 and they're only like 12 bucks a pieces plus your 10% commission so it's 50% off!!

I know they aren't your run of the mill fractals, but it is my quirk to try and take the art from the abstract and make it more surreal and sci-fi.... A lot of it also has to do with a film project of mine about a visit to a fractal dimension......

I think you told me about your project before. How do you manipulate the fractals?

Mostly doing cutouts, copy, paste and blend in with a lot of translucency and transparancy... Mostly the same as doing regular photo manips except that you have to play with the color, gamma, and contrast a lot more to make them appear similar.... "Organic Engineering" is a prime example.
All of the creature faces are only created as a half face that is then made whole with a copy, flip, paste.....

I don't mess with the formulas directly, but Ultrafractal has so many variables that it is nearly infinite in possibilities... Generally when I find a shape to work with I tinker it to death... Mindam and most of the aliens started with this [link] about a year ago.... Some of the others were lucky finds that were tweeked into more recognized images like this one [link] .... Some are complete accidents that were small, then zoomed in on to make full size [link] ....
