Small watercolor and ink painting of The White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland. 4"x6"I love the white rabbit.
and I hate my scanner. It dulled down the colors a lot. the pinks are a lot pinker, and you can't even see the shading on the rabbit. grr.

Awesome! I've loved Alice In Wonderland since I was a kid. Wow, that watch looks really surreal. The jacket also, I love the texture.
I think you've inspired me to go dust off the ol' VHS player and watch Alice again :]

I love how small and compact he looks. I can see a swirling sort of background behind him. And what shading the scanner didn't destroy looks very good (odd how scanners hate grey and light colours...)

I know, you'd think that the company's that make these scanners(well, I have an HP all in one printer/scanner/copier) would have already discovered how to get away from bad scans. Ah well. I could see a swirling background too now that you mention it. Thank you!

Thank you. I really had fun doing this little illustration. I hope to do more like this one. What I really want to do, is to start doing backgrounds and stuff, instead of just one character. And yes, scanners can be bitches. Thank you for the favorite!

definitely do it! i have such a hard time doing simple backgrounds with pen and ink and i'd love to see your take on it. i'm sure you'll be very successful. and more character drawings like this one couldn't hurt either!

I think that's another resolution of mine. Challenge myself more, take bigger risks, and paint backgrounds! i feel myself going "Dun Dun Dun"
