Description
This was a spectacular sunrise in Glacier National Park.
My main subject was the sun just as it was peeking over the horizon to create the sunstar effect, but I just had to look all around to take it all in.
This was shot facing north, looking at the boundary where the plains of the Blackfeet Lands meet the mountains of Glacier Park.

It was a hard image to edit and I have several version floating around. I shot it underexposed to preserve all the great highlight colors.
This also helps to keep the highlights saturated instead of washing them out. The shadows can then be recovered in post.
It may look like I added a bunch of reds but in fact I removed reds because the original was just so full of color already.
Maybe in another year or two I'll upload yet another version of this as I take on new editing techniques
