Remake of an old one with revised workflow

We were driving toward a hiking spot when suddenly Marc made a u-turn and told everyone to get their telephotos and follow him.
We got out and he explained that he liked the way the sun was illuminating these two trees against the mountain background.
He told everyone to process in black and white to emphasize the contrast.
After a couple minutes the sun moved on and just as suddenly we were back in our cars and again driving toward our sunset hike.
