reactine or a similar allergy medication (even if you don't have allergies, this will help with any nasal problems by drying it out)
plus
Advil cold and sinus (or similar)Β
this usually works for me and stops it from going to my chestΒ
also a nasal rinse pot (sprays are useless in my opinion)
