Sorry the pictures suck... Webcams and desk lamps do not make for great photographs. It looks better in person, but oh well.
This is a little metal box that I made in my Jewelry and Fabrication class.
It’s a tribute to “The Nightmare Before Christmas”. If you’re a fan of the movie, you’ll know what scene this is! *winkwinknudgenudge* Jack and Sally are simply meant to be… awwwww! See the little silhouettes? I didn’t want to have them just standing on a hill in front of the moon, so I made a little bat wing design that ended up being the main shape of the box.It’s a mix of copper, brass, and nickel-silver. This was made from scratch… All the pieces got cut out, melted together, sanded, textured, words got punched in, blah, blah, blah. The black is a patina, and I basically just took a sharp thingy and made crosshatched lines all over the sucker (like the way they created the ground planes in the movie ). In some areas I partially sanded the patina off to show the color… took forever, but I love how it came out. ^_^

Well, we started with metal sheets, and we heated them and bent them to our will. We also had wire that we would cut into little parts, and they would melt into a puddle when you added heat to them. They acted as a sort of glue.

Man, that last song and scene in the movie is the sole example of a perfect romantic scene I've ever come across.

Yeah, lol. Danny Elfman could shatter glass with his voice. And even though it has spooky Halloween stuff, the plot is still very "happy" and for the "family", I think.

Yeah, the movie was quite dark, and weird, yet also kinda cute in some ways to. And it does lead up to a happy ending.
I love Danny Elfman's music & scores. (He wrote the Simpson's themesong to)
I got kinda pissed off at the show "Family Guy" because they kinda put him down in a recent episode. (The Star Wars parody episode, I think.)
As much as I like Family Guy, I think the show is getting to annoyinglly opinated & political.
