Description
This is an unusual oneI painted it using cosmetics, mostly nail varnish and a lot of glossy eye shadows. Sadly, I sprayed it with hairspray to fix and have since learned that this destroys your work - BE WARNED!
Anyway, it's here in perpetuity, whilst the original, like Dorian Gray, gradually rots to hell....

My auntie learnt the hairspray thing, she did a pastel work for her GCSE and the teacher used that to fix it and she failed because of it :/
Very beautiful picture! Inspires me to get my acrylics out. She reminds me of a beauty from the twenties-fiftys, like Lana Turner

Wow - I've tried doing artwork using makeup - only eyes and lips tho, not a full work... it's beautiful!
Strange that hairspray rots it - what happens when you put makeup and then hairspray on yourself?!

You may well ask! I think it's all to do with hairspray left on for a long time. I used to use it on oil pastel and after a few years the pastel just flakes away. Ends up looking like an old master before it disappears entirely. Will put one of my disintegrating works up soon and then you'll see what I mean
Re darkcardz - the other artwork is at the printers - we are just sorting out what to print. Trouble is, it's not cost effective to do it yourself, but the printers want a fortune up front (£1,500). Grrrrrrr.
