I have never seen someone with an eye that looks so red and I think that works really well for this photo due to what the photo is about. The composition isn't the best as everything is mainly in the center of the photo, but you do have a very nice dof and the details are great as well.
The hand in the eye is what makes this stand out, especially since that the eye is read, it makes the hand stand out even more and goes with the title you choose perfectly. Eyes are a common subject, but I love them and I think you did a great job with this.
