You know I have always ,and still do, believe that it would be a good idea to reveal that Celestia was married with at least one kid in the past, but lost them somehow. Maybe just to time as she is immortal or maybe to some villain. This episode made me think that this idea is more likely then I thought.

Well if they made her spouse a non-pony and her kid(s) a half-pony they could say that they were banish like Luna or turn into something like Discord by a villain, then bring them somehow in a much later episode after they were first revealed(so they can build up to them coming back). They the her family could be immortal without changing the fact that Flurry Heart was the first born alicorn in Equestria history, maybe the first one ever.

Okay, interesting idea. I mean, it would be weird to not mention something like that in the 7. season, but if Fluttershy can suddenly have a brother in season 6, anything's possible.

This why they couldn't just do it in one episode, they would first need to say that they existed one episode then talk about them a few times before bringing them in. And I would like to point out that if they aren't around anymore that could be the reason why they don't talk about them, after they made it clear that Celestia didn't go around talking about her sister when she was gone.Β
