Description Autodesk Maya 2008... mental ray... blah blah blah blah blah same old same old.

This is my first attempt at texture mapping by the way. The wood on the plank-y thing-ies. And what I have to say is... texture mapping... its.... if I could avoid it I would, but I think it's kinda really important, you know.
Also, I'm fairly new to mental ray, before now I mostly just used maya software to render but mental ray is so much better..
Okay I'll stop babbling cause no one cares lol

Thanks so much
I've only used Maya so I wouldn't know. But its complicated enough already heh Mostly texturing from a file is what gets me.

Haha noo, I am a 16 year old high school student. I don't have a job. I'm just practicing for the future, I want to break into the film business and become a 3D animation artist. Wish me luck on that one!

What do you use your animation software for?

However, I'm a student in the faculty of Engineering
