Emerson and Dickinson -- couldn't care less!
Similes and symbols -- I've had enough!
And anaphora just adds to the mess!
Why should I bother with language and flow?
Syllabols and stanzas? Rythym and rhyme?
To be or not to be -- how should I know!
To ponder these cryptics -- who has the time?
How will this help me get a great career?
Will my boss say, "Nice poem, here's a raise!"
Or, "You like poetry? A promotion, here!"
So what's up with this daft poetry craze?
What's the point, I don't need any iambs,
Because I am not a poetry fan!
