great detail even the ink line at the top ! wow . really nice modeling . it looks like you spent a lot of time on this one . good lights and render too . ... i made pens yesterday for props on a desk scene and i only used 3 objects lol@me . i feel so slack now

By the way, I have a question about what format to put my finished pictures in. I've been using JPEG because its small and thats what the Internet prefers, but it doesnt look as good. The image suffers too much. Do you know what image types that would be better but are still supported by deviantart?

i don't worry too much about quality loss myself . i post JPG's here on DA . i save renders in the TIF format (it's lossless) then use Photoshop to make a copy to JPG because it's so much faster to upload those . i'm almost certain that DA will accept TIF files . try that some time
