Regardless of my opinions on this issue, I have a hard time taking it seriously when terms such as "CUZ" and "LOV" are used. I guess it's okay when you're talking to friend but it becomes a pet peeve of mine when people do it in public. Especially when the internet and spell check have been invented to prevent it.
