Nice work, its always nice to see a properly scaled marine.
They should be big but personally I think they often come out too stocky, this one isn't.

Now there is the pride of Macragge and the entire Imperium right there. Ultra marines have the most stable gene seed, and the way you depicted this really shows their status. I'm an Imperial Guard player myself, but I do have to say this is awe inspireing. The texture and detail, i'm lovin' it. You even put in the text on the Pauldrons! Im in the middle of writing a story about my Imperial guard regiment and where the system they are from, but this is somethin else. Wish i could paint lol

The texture in this is magnificent. I'm liking your style.. you have such a loose, energetic approach to the backgrounds yet still manage to define the forms with such clarity. The colours are very crisp too.

Usually don't like Ultras, they usually look a bit boring and far too American Action Hero style, but this is fantastic. I love the way he's kneeling to Marneus Calgar. And the servo-skull. And the background of the space section. But by far my favourite part is the way you managed to make the pauldrons and power-plant look round, it's really simple but effective at giving it depth. It's so well laid out, but I second the call for some words.

Yeah, I've always thought the old yellow looked a bit silly, but the golden trimming and nice style helmets on Calgar's honour guard are lovely.

Great work, except a little fluff detail... The Ultra Marines are based upon romac culture, so they have a lot of Corintian pillars and stuff...

Seriously, if you completed an entire story Im positive GW wouldnt hesitate on buying rights to publish it.
