Bio: Stella is an orphaned gypsy girl who travels back and forth to the adventure and fantasy sections via a caravan; she sings, dances, and performs with animals (especially a monkey, a bear cub, and a horse foal).
When she was 5, Stella's father died from tuberculosis, and her mother reared her up with the help of the other gypsies in the caravan (until her mother drowned in a lake while travelling). When she meets Bethylasia, Stella at first thinks that the princess is here to arrest her; when she sees that Bethylasia means no harm and is trying to find Dante's lair, Stella looks into a crystal ball to help the princess, and eventually accompanies her with her book friends.
