Another original design that I had been wanting to bring to life for some time now. I was hoping to find a name for them, but that never happened so I'm simply going with 'creature' for now.He stands at about 11 inches tall and measures about 17 inches long. He's made of minky and while this one has felt eyes new Creatures will have machine embroidered ones. He has a full wire armature which makes him fully posable as pictured. Although he is pictured standing on two legs in one picture be can't actually do that on his own, his tail is propping him up against the wall ahah.

This remains my favorite feer coloring, possibly my favorite of your plushes. I love him so much!!! I was wondering if you would ever do an armature tutorial, or direct me to one? I've looked but I can't seem to find any.Β

Armature is one of those things that doesn't really have a one and only right way to do it. The method I used for my more recent Feers is very similar to this www.facebook.com/fiendle/photo⦠, but just the wire bits, my armatures aren't encased in fabric. In the case of wings like hers, the fleece helps stabilizing the wire and prevent it from slipping around the unstuffed wings. In a full-body armature for a plush it's not really necessary because the stuffing keeps it in place. I hope this helps!

this is one of my favourite things in the whole world *-* the flow & pose-ability of this doll is mesmerizing, not to mention the shape and the size. I have been looking & collecting plushes for years and I have never found a single plush made by anyone so aesthetically pleasing as this is. I am in love with this doll. It is a freakin' masterpiece.

I get my wire from my local hardware store, I usually work with 14 and 16 gauge.
As most handmade things, especially those containing metal components like wire, something like him should not be submerged in water. Cleaning with a damp cloth however would be fine.Β
And lastly I do not share my patterns, sorry.
