Description
ADDITION: video of them being walked in [link]Shown before furring. I dont have a way of doing this clean enough to make pretty fetish boots without fur or some sort of fabric covering, so please do not ask.
Specs:
-Shore Hardness 90 Urethane (basically the same as a stiff boot rubber)
-Makes a clopping sound
-Durable as hell
-Waterproof
-Leaves realistic hoof footprints in mud and snow.
-Can come in colors other than black.
-Can some with or without a small balance plate secured to the underside (not shown)
-Available only in Women's size 10 and under (Thats size 8 in men's)
-This style of boots will start at $300 a pair. I will be able to take them on commission around April HOWEVER if yiou already have an order for hoof boots with me and would like to upgrade NOW for an additional cost, I can do that : )

While these are really cool and sleek, they also look as dangerous as hell; especially if they're high heels that've had the bottoms chopped off.

I do give people warnings to be smart in this style of boot- dont roughhouse, not good for outdoors etcetera, but that statement is a bit of an over-exaggeration. Ive been making these for years (well not THIS style anymore, but in general), They're much safer than you beleiveΒ : )

Hello! I was looking for suggestions for materials to make shoes out of. I'm wondering did you buy a pair of boots and carve the hoof in? Or did you construct the boots from scratch? And if you did what material did you use?

Damned cool, you did a nice job. They look so well balanced too, heck I can't walk in high-heals and I think I could walk in these fine.
Oh and you probably don'ty wanna hear it but I had an idea, this design would be great for gargoyle costumes too, maybe you could cover a pair in scales or skin like covering when you get the kack for it? They might sell.

How durable are they? Are they scuff resistant? How's the traction?

Extremly durable, very scuff resistant but not perfectly-so, traction is fine but avoid ice and slick wet surfaces, traction=no on those. But is fine on hard wood and linoleum

I do have a question, though, if you don't mind me asking. I needed that kind of Urethane for a project MONTHS ago, but I couldn't find it anywhere. Where on earth did you buy it? It's still been driving me nuts, because I really wanted to finish but couldn't.
