Description
A friend of mine once told a story of her encounters with psychiatric hospitals, and hearing the song "Hotel California" during this time.She said that the most poignant moment was the line
"You can check out anytime you like
But you can never leave"
For some reason, that statement clung to me and I decided to capture it.
You can be fully functional, and still tied down by your own inner demons. It's all in your facade.

I like it, the girl is well blended into it, the circular blades are a unique touch, the knives pinning down the dress are very appropriate and symbolic, and the hanging spider is actually kinda funny cause it reminds me of zelda 64 from years back haha, but on a serious note it is a nice touch.

Thank you so much, I'm *very* happy that this has touched you. This was a very .... consuming piece for me to make as I, too, (I'm sure everyone) has either been directly in a situation like this...or have at least felt the walls caving in on them.
'Hotel California' is a beautiful song. Yet it has some very dreary undertones. Oddly enough, the only time I hear the song on the radio is if someone/thing close to me has either left or passed away.
So this is definitely my most personal piece to date.
