The Story behind this was I was at my art class and the teacher said "No anime"I raised my hand and asked "But we can draw cartoons?"
And he replied "Yes"
So going home, I kind of complained to my step dad that I couldn't do anime but I could do cartoons, and he says
"So you can't draw anime, but you can draw, say, Invader Zim style?" He was looking at the Zim shirt I was wearing.
And I said "Yeah." Then I got the thought and was like "DUDE, I'M TOTALLY DRAWING LARRY INVADER ZIM STYLE"
And so... It kind of started out Zim style, then went like Fairly odd parent style, and then into something I might call... original? Well what ever it is, it sure isn't Zim or Fairly Odd Parents.
Yeah, Larry's got a Flower.

I'm really enjoying the expressive figures here.
And if you want to be a wise-guy in class you could just retort that anime -is- a cartoon style. But I think I get where your teacher is coming from - it's good to have a repertoire of styles outside of anime, so you can stay flexible.

i hate when teacher get all picky and allow everything but anime why do they hate it so much?

It's not necessarily that they hate it, it's just that the very sad fact is you can't really make a living off drawing anime In America. No one really wants anime characters and furies on their products, their bookcovers, or their family portraits. So it's really for a good reason.
Now you can say you are going to make your own manga and such, but another sad fact is, you can't really make a living off of making Manga. Especially in America.
Again, they do it cause they want you to actually be successful.
