This is a super special piece for *FaeTian in honor of her consistent support!Featured here: Thane and her character Riley Shepard.
When FaeTian gave me the option of painting a desert, I immediately thought of the many deserts I've seen and want to see... this is roughly based off pictures I've seen of the Acacus Mountains and Tadrart Acacus part of the Sahara in Libya... and the sky is from a photo my grandmother took when she was driving across the Sonora in Arizona.
I went back to the process I used for another pic here in my gallery... and I think I'm going to use that more in the future. It just works.
Also, on a Thane note... if his lungs are becoming saturated with fluid, it sounds like a Drel pneumonia/tuberculosis hybrid. In the 19th century doctors realized TB patients lived much longer when they relocated to dry climates (Think Doc Holiday, Glenwood Springs, CO, Tombstone AZ)... Thane would probably live much longer if he got off humid planets and lived on a 0% humidity desert on Earth...

Yeah. Β I like to pretend the third game was never released. Β The second one left you with so much hope! Β YES! We all face adversity, and the heroes and ones we love best are the ones who fight through it! Β Thane had all the right stuff. Β This is the ending he deserves! Arid climates worked for Tuberculosis patients in the 1800s, why not a Drell in the 2100s?

Sometimes I think BW stopped using logic at moments like this. So many things weΒ΄ve done through the trilogy, making decisions to make gallaxy save (well I was a 75 percent paragon so) and we canΒ΄t have this one decision of our own?

I know! I KNOW! OMG, don't even get me started on how much I completely disliked the last installment of the game. They took a series about bringing species together, and the awesomeness of humanity in spite of all our faults, and made it angsty and depressing and... UGGH. I played it once and haven't picked it up again, whereas I played the first two a dozen times apiece. But I digress. Thanks for the Thane/Shep luvin.
