One day when the merchant business had been fairly good, the young merchant, Ralph, and her went into town. They had a glorious time feasting on homecooked food and laughing out loud at the hilarous drunks running around and just window shoping. At one window in particular, there was a beautfiuil mink coat. It was lovely and Cruella couldn't stop herself from staring, she knew she could never own something so beautiful and expensinsinse, but had reminded her off an old coat her mother used to wear. She hid this feeling of course from Ralph, but he had the stupd quality of always knowing what she was thinking. In the morning, she woke up the sight of the coat folded perfectly on the foot of the bed and she couldn't help but smile. She loved it, but she knew it must had costed a fortune, so she begged him to take it back. He refused and answered sternlly that nothing was too expensive for the one you love. Cruella had to agree, which was why she sold the coat the next morning for a new carraige for him. When he questioned her about her coat, she just smiled and turned his words back on him.
