Description
"Mortals have always exaggerated the difference between hate and love. Both come from the heart. You can never hate strongly unless you have loved strongly."
-------------- The Last Vampire - C. Pike

ENG: HE is the reason why I can't like "Twilight". When I was twelve he was my Edward Cullen (and I'm sure that someone else could say the same thing about Lestat, Alucard ecc) and he didn't sparkle, he's not vegetarian and he kills a lot of people X3
Yaksha is the main villain of "The Last Vampire" a novel written by Christopher Pike (awesome author, extremely talented and poethic) that reinvented the vampire's figure mixed it with ancient India mithology and religion. Yaksha was the son of a demon summoned by a sorcerer while triying to save the village from a deadly plague. The female protagonist of the book, Sita, was just a girl when she see him for the first time and she's the one who baptizes the newborn as "Yaksha" because he was the son of a Yakshini.
This is my interpretation of him, based on the book's description and the italian cover painted by Daniele Orizio.
If you haven't read the book and you're searching for a good vampire book, without sparklings and some originality, don't miss it!

Ahhhh, it's Yaksha! I did one fanart of him but yours came out so much better! Is it alright if I feature your piece in the Christopher Pike Group I am a part of? We really need more activity and it's sad to know this series is underrated! :3

Of course you can, it's an honor!
Yep, this serie needs MORE love, expecially the first two books, wich in my opinion are the best ones.

Yeah, I'm definitely gonna have to agree with you on that one. I liked them all, but the first two were PRIMO. My favorite part of all time was probably in the second one when she chopped off Eddie Fender's sick head. I don't why it just seemed really dramatic to me.

"Eddie, what your favorite flavor ice pop?" *lifts axe* "CHERRY RED!???" CHOP.

I love when Sita is corny. She makes anything cool. Do you have a favorite part?

Aawww, Eddie... he was a great villain too. I love the final battle of the second book, with his absolutely insane mother fooling around X°D!
Anyway, I think that my favourite part in all the serie is when, in volume 1, Yaksha transforms Sita into a vampire. I love how Pike describes this passage, is very intense, dark and passionate at the same time. Read this chapter always give me chills.
Another part that I appreciate is the one set in Italy with Arturo

The 4th book, Phantom, is the worst in my opinion :/

HA HA, It's funny you mention that because I can't get my girlfriend to start reading Phantom for anything! She said she doesn't like that Sita turns human.

She may have a point but if she just makes it past that part she's in the clear!

<3 Yaksha!!!! He was my favorite character... in Book 2... ;o; I felt I could really understand him. He was an amazing vampire character, deadly, and very in depth character. ^^ Definitely one of my favorite vampire characters ever! I love your rendition of him, that is how I always pictured him too!

Prego :3
