Awesome pic.
I love how you've done the structure on the robot, looks very cool.
Also, the contrasting colours really draw attention to the robot, and it stands out very well.
Love the highlights on the two figures in the foreground.

Thanks alot man! I made the robot in google sketchup. But it was painted over, and over and over. Yeah I wanted to bump up the intensity with the lighting.

I've been reading a lot of 1950s sci-fi shorts lately (grabbed up an anthology of Analog from the library) and this really has that kind of "old" school feel. That and I love the gesture-ness of this.

thanks but wow when I read your comment I thought you were talking about my other new painting the bio mechanical freak ha. I didnt think this painting had that feel but im really glad it does Old sci fi is the best!

oh haha, you read the war of art. Yeah, its tough. But, it was alot easier for me when I could give it a name. Then I would just say fuck resistance when it started happening and Id do work almost fearing what would happen if I gave into resistance haha. Maybe college will be good for you to get into work.

Problem is, I haven't finished the book yet, haven't read it for the last 2 months. I'm sat at home all day doing anything else but art. You know, the usual. And then when college starts I'll be like, feck, why didn't I paint when I had all that free time.
