we once had ten(!) little kittens from three mamas... one of the adults was very ill and had fever... she gave birth to five little ones and almost died of that... we had to kill two of the little ones, because they were completely crippled... luckily one of the other mamas was quite young and had only two little ones - she sat there and watched the crucial birth... when she saw that the ill cat was simply to exhausted to care for her babies she simply grabbed them and put them to her own two ones and adopted them... it was incredible... well, otherwise we would have had to give those three ones milk same way as you show on your photo...

That's almost a full time job when the kittens are tiny. Poor little thing. A friend of mine nursed three abandoned kittens and she had to take them to work because they had to be fed so often. They really bonded with her.

Aww poor kitten. wonder what happened to mama. The first cat that I had (well technically it was my moms cat) was rescued off a flat bed truck that came from Sarnia all the way to Toronto where my dad was working. He was about 5 weeks (that's what we're assuming anyway) so my mom had to hand feed him for a bit.
