Description Didn't think I'd like any of the shots I took on this trip on the steamer across Ullswater but this has grown on me. I feel there's something a bit 19th century about it - given the steamers were built then I guess that's appropriate. It was a day when we had snow, sleet, rain and sun, all within a couple of hours, in April too.

What were you thinking standing so close to the water like that! What if you had fallen in? Think of all of the fish in that water. So many big fish prowling menacingly along the bottom. Those big 400 pound kind from the aquirium that makes me feel ill to look at. Those huge unblinking bulbous eyes watching the gray green surface for fallen humans, or as they think of them, fallen snacks.

Most humble thanks.

And to think I didn't even rate it.
