Yay for CAD programs. I've been meaning to find a cheap (free) one.

yeah good luck with that. I'm taking total advantage of the fact that I go to a private school that spent the money for CATIA ($3,000 to own the program). But since i did learn how to dabble in it might as well have some fun eh?

$3000 is way too rich for my blood. I note in the V2 you say its a memory hog? It sit on a large chunk of the processor too?

for CATIA to run smoothly here on my campus the computers that use it have 2GB or RAM (at least) and a minimum of 2GHz processor, and depending on how complicated your design gets (i.e multiple components, etc) it can use most if not all processing power. this pack is technically only one part as far as CATIA is concerned, so it's super simple and easy on the processor...for now.

Yeah, I kinda want a CAD program for just messing around with architecture stuff.

well that I'm sure you could find without spending much. Mind you this program that I am playing with is used by Boing and Lockeheed Martin to design their jets from top to bottom. So to think I'm using it to make a prop is kinda funny.

Yes, killing a mouse with a nuke.
I certainly wouldn't need that much power for my noobish designs.

Yeah...using superweapons on a lone infantry troop or similar in strategy games is always fun.
