nowadays its way easier to use PS plugins like "portrature" it makes the whole proces way more simpler.

Portraiture plugin only does two steps of the whole tutorial: the blur in the face. The plugin doesn't remove the big blemishes neither applies a dodge and burn, which is the hardest and most time consuming part.
Retouches with portraiture plugin are good to be seen on small resolutions like web, but you won't see any professional retoucher using it for a poster size advertising.

the blemishes can be removed manualy..i use it for quite some time and combined with manual tweeking,works great..

I putting this series in my collection for others and myself, I never did that retouch with the fill layer before doing the highpass, thanks for this.
