Previously, James worked in the police. It worked well, it was uncomfortable for the criminals, so they planted a bomb in his car. The offender had not foreseen that first sit in the car of his wife and daughter. His family was killed by explosion, and James was far enough away that it just stung and burned part of the face and body.
