Personality: A life of service is all Neith has ever known. While it may not be her natural state, she has become desensitized to anything but the qualities which make her a good handmaiden, though sometimes aspects of her true self come through in unexpected ways.

Neith is both soft spoken and demure. Raised in a state of service, she has been conditioned to keep herself quiet and unseen, to speak only when spoken to, and act as a shadow to her mistress. Through the practices with which she was trained, she has become particularly adept at putting herself in the right place at the right time, always ready to accept instruction or fulfill the needs of her master. Her ability to anticipate others' wants and needs is a particularly sharp talent. While through service this skill is of obvious desire, it is with those she is not indebted to that it can be more instinctively used. She is keen and observant, and often able to decipher the voice and body language of others, making her a good read of another's character.

While she was a serf, she lived in close proximity to her Queen, and so was still treated well and thought of as a respectable lady. As such, she does have her own sense of esteem and is able to navigate socially among those of higher rank than herself. However, this inner fire is closely masked by her outward demeanor, which she takes care to keep clearly submissive in both posture and expression. She can do the social dance of etiquette and propriety without a fuss, and is able to easily convince others she is harmless between her diminutive stature and obedient nature. History: Neith was born into servitude in Suyet, inheriting the legacy of her parents Amun and Heket, who were both serfs to a nobleman named Seb. It had not been their choice to start a family, but rather the cruel whimsey of their master, who sought to breed them for their individual qualities, which he hoped to pass on to a brood of new serfs to sell among the aristocrats. Seb was not a kind master, and though they lamented the deed, Heket did not refuse Amun, as to do so would surely lead to severe punishment or death. The expected litter was to be of great value to Seb, and so he even allowed Heket to rest and eat additional meals throughout her pregnancy. Amun, being of less incubatory importance, was not given such rewards, and was kept away from Heket as though they were never together. While this suited both fine, Amun still felt a new kinship with Heket for carrying his seed, though romantic feelings were not there.

When the day came that Heket gave birth, she labored for 38 hours. Due to the difficulty of her laboring, only one, small, weak pup survived. Seb was sorely angry at this, and cropped Heket's ears in punishment. He ordered her to leave the pup to die, seeing no value in such a runt. All Amun could do was witness these cruelties, and through stolen glances Amun and Heket knew that neither of them could allow the small pup to die. They decided to hide her away, stealing moments to feed and care for her. They named her Neith after the hunter goddess, to give her the strength and will to live.

All the while, unrest was growing among the pack between the serfs and aristocrats. With Amun and Heket's secret, they could not afford to step out of line from under Seb, and so they kept their heads down and did their duties to the best of their abilities. By chance, or perhaps divine will, a riot broke out as the Pharaoh walked among the pack. When another serf barreled towards the Pharaoh in a rage, Amun threw himself between them, taking the blow. The other Serf was quickly apprehended and taken away. For Amun's show of loyalty, the Pharaoh granted him a small favor. Amun was unsure what to ask for, but all he could think of was his secret daughter. He knew that revealing her may bring about her death, but could not let the opportunity slip away from him. He took the risk, and asked the Pharaoh if he may give his daughter a better life than his own.

The Pharaoh granted this favor by taking the pup to be trained and educated as his new queen Hexa's handmaiden. She would still be a serf, but live at the queen's beck and call, at her side among the aristocrats at all times. And so the weak pup was raised up, well fed, and taught the life of a handmaiden. What little life she had lived with her parents was quickly forgotten, as stolen moments were no match for constant contact and regimented training. She lived to serve Hexa, and although there was a chasm of social class between them, at times Neith felt almost familial to the queen which she was so closely raised near. Neith knew to keep her distance from the queen in an emotional sense, witnessing Hexa's cruelty and indifference towards the lower classes, and knowing her place. However there were some rare instances where Hexa revealed other sides to her, ones which were playful, kind, and even vulnerable. It was in these times that Neith grew a particular Kinship to Hexa, internalizing her servitude to be a more meaningful, true bond then it rightfully was.

When Hexa fled Suyet, Neith's world was once again thrown upside down. She was quickly cast away from court, and fell back into the possession of Seb. Now with Neith in his grasp, he was able to unleash the wrath at her very existence, which had been kept from him until that fateful day that Amun revealed she was alive. For her life, Seb had taken both Amun and Heket's, and so even returned to this master, she was utterly alone. He had been sitting by and watching her from a distance, unable to touch her, but wickedly malicious towards her. From that day on, her life became a single strand of various tortures, physical and psychological. She was weak in body and demeanor, and so could not endure for very long. The first chance she got, she escaped Suyet. Without knowing a better choice, she set off in search of Hexa, the only wolf she had ever felt loyalty towards.
