I'm sure it has been.... I'm waiting to save up some money and hopefully end up with that as a print.... I can't help it. everytime I look at it.. it makes me think that there's something more behind the picture.

To put this together I began by taking a picture of my hands in an almost 'street fighter' pose, because originally I wanted to make it look like I was launching something (thats more the track of another deviation in my gallery called 'mage' that has the hands set horizontally). I already had an older photo that I took of a bonfire- so I selected my favorite tongues of flame; if you look at this piece closely you can see that I reused them in different positions. They blend together very well because I set each layer to 'multiply' in photoshop. After trying several effects with the hands I ended up giving them a negative effect that whitened them, and I blended the lower parts of the flame to get a similar color where they met.

I took a picture with my hands, and upped the contrast before I inverted their color. I set them closer than they were in the original picture, in seperate layers that were set to either lighten or screen. Then I found a picture that I had taken a while back of a fire at night. I cut out four good bits of fire and put them on top of each other; repeating them several times, in different directions.

thats incredible, powerful concept with prometheus ^-^ oh, and if that at the bottom was a question to the observers... then no... i think its positively splendid just as it is... a border would confine it too much... and if that wasnt a question.. and rather a statement.... then uh..... ignore those last couple of lines ^_^'
